Unclaimed Property- Get your money!
By Insurance Live | July 07, 2009 at 09:24 AM EDT | No Comments

Both Florida and Georgia have a searchable database of unclaimed property online. I personally know people who have searched the database and recovered thousands of dollars owed to them from abandoned deposits or interest earnings etc.

Check the Georgia site here https://etax.dor.ga.gov/unclaimedproperty/main.aspx

Florida is here  http://www.fltreasurehunt.org/ControlServlet?ActionForm=GotoNewPublicSearch

Want to save money on your mortgage payment?
By Insurance Live | July 03, 2009 at 04:47 PM EDT | No Comments

PMI (Private Mortgage Insurance) is extra insurance that lenders require from most homebuyers who obtain loans that are more than 80 percent of their new home's value. In other words, buyers with less than a 20 percent down payment are normally required to pay PMI.

You may be eligible to cancel your PMI if you have enough equity in your home.

PMI does NOT protect the homeowner. It protects the lender if the homeowner defaults.

Mortgage protection insurance protects you and your family against a death or disability. Not PMI.

Several of our carriers offer plans that do not require a medical exam or blood test. Many medical conditions are accepted without rate increases.

Policy Reviews
By Insurance Live | June 28, 2009 at 02:05 PM EDT | No Comments

What type of life insurance are you carrying? Is it term, whole life, universal life? When does coverage end? Will the premiums remain level? It may be possible to get a better rate today for various reasons. For instance weight loss, quit using tobacco, age of health conditions, rate changes.

Policy reviews are free. Many policies in force are great. Wouldn't it be good to know if yours is?

Student Healthcare

Students are required to carry health insurance to attend school. The healthcare section has links to local carriers where quotes can be obtained. To make sure the plan you are considering qualifies call the office and speak to an agent.
